Technology

BLUECOM developed the Transducer Buzzer for mobile phones in May 1990 and maintained domestic market share of it for 8 years. The success from 1990 to 1998 was served as a stepping stone for the growth. With increasing popularity of slim mobile phones in mid 1990s, BLUECOM self-developed the core slim acoustic components such as micro-speakers, receivers,
TV speakers and linear vibration motors. In 2005, BLUECOM self-developed and introduced the Bluetooth headset. BLUECOM’s products have been steadily increasing market share through distinguished design and know-how. We are in pursuit of realizing a form of technology that enables great rapport with the world through continued research and development of wearable,IT products, healthcare products, etc.

Production Capacity

In the beginning, BLUECOME solely began with the production of Buzzer, but our production line has since been expanded to speakers, receivers, Linear Motors along with Bluetooth equipment, etc. We have established adequate production capacity that can meet the demands of our customers through reduction of labor costs and production time from our extension of the production line in our main factory and establishment of the Tianjin factory in China in May 1995. We maximized production automation for cost reduction and quality improvement, and in February 2003, we completed the development of a new production factory in the size of a 9,000-pyeong lot area and a 4,000-pyeong building area in Tianjin for localization in China.

Growth Potential

On the 4th year of our establishment in 1994, we received the $5 million Tower of Export Award from the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), $50 million Tower of Export Award in 2010, $100 million Tower of Export Award in 2014, and became listed on the KOSDAQ in 2011. Our sales in 2000 totaled 34.4 billion KRW (exports of 22.7 billion KRW), 28.3 billion KRW(13.2 million USD) in 2001, which amounts to approximately 65% in domestic market shareand 18% in international market share. We achieved sales of 200 billion KRW in 2014 and we are now pushing to achieve 250 billion KRW in sales in 2015. BLUECOM has been steadily growing to keep pace with the world’s smart product market by producing mobile phone related sound components such as speakers, receivers, vibration motors and Bluetooth headsets. With sales of over 10 million units in over 50 countries, our company has been recognized as the best company for producing Bluetooth headsets, and through our overseas expansion of linear motors in the Chinese domestic market, we are expecting a steady growth in sales.
